1.2 Executive Summary
High level overview of the test:

Participants were able to complete a purchase on the site with minimal assistance. However, all participants had difficulty finding the training products on the site. They also wanted more information about shipping and found the error messages uninformative.

The users' biggest challenges in navigating and using the site related to violations of expected web interaction standards and to an overall lack of visibility of the system status in many areas of the e-commerce flow. These problems were especially apparent in the workflow related to the billing and shipping information forms .

Summary of the methods: Three people with moderate to expert web browsing skills participated in an inductive, scenario-based set of tasks. A grounded, inductive method was used to maximize the understanding of the users' goals and cognitive maps related to the e-commerce flow for purchasing training materials.
